Dr. Alisha Khambati is a comprehensive ophthalmologist at Lake Lazer Eye Center whose practice spans the full spectrum of eye care — from diabetic eye exams and glaucoma management to LASIK, SMILE, and advanced cataract surgery — guided by a lifelong calling to help patients see the world more clearly.
Dr. Alisha Khambati graduated Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 GPA and a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience & Behavior from Florida Atlantic University before completing her medical degree at Wayne State School of Medicine. She completed her Ophthalmology Residency at the prestigious Kresge Eye Institute / Detroit Medical Center, where her clinical training was matched by a distinguished record of academic achievement.
Dr. Khambati is a multiple-time recipient of the Robert C. Fraser, M.D., Endowed Scholarship Award in Ophthalmology and the Dong Shin Endowed Ophthalmology Research Award. Her research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at leading conferences including ARVO and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Born in Rochester Hills, Dr. Alisha Khambati is happily married and blessed with their greatest joy — their son.
Outside the office, she enjoys cheering on the Detroit Pistons, practicing yoga, playing piano, and training in Tae Kwon Do. These pursuits reflect the same energy, discipline, and passion she brings to patient care every day.
